As part of the Communications Team, the A/V Assistant will provide technical expertise in the curation of quality media content. This position plays a key role in amplifying the stories of our community of Authors, and ensuring their voices are honored throughout the process. The A/V Assistant can anticipate attending program events regularly to provide photography, videography, and audio recording services.

This is a part-time seasonal position funded by the Cook County Justice Advisory Council, with current expiration of April 2026. Weekly hours and schedule may vary based on project needs.

The Gallery & Events Assistant will advance ConTextos’ mission through general facility operations, event support, role will support the efforts to increase awareness of ConTextos’ mission and programming through monitoring and reporting foot traffic, supporting program circles and events, 

This temporary, part-time position is funded by awards granted by the Illinois Arts Council and the League of Chicago Theatres. This role is currently supported through August 31, 2026. To meet all grant requirements, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 22 and our network of Alumni will be prioritized.
