ConTextos
ConTextos is a global storytelling organization working at the intersection of education, justice, and community life. Through reading, writing, and dialogue, we create structured spaces for reflection, connection, and reengagement.

Stories that connect people to themselves, to each other and the world around them.
What We Do
Storytelling at ConTextos is not metaphor—it is practice.
We facilitate structured processes where participants read, write, and share their stories in community. These spaces are designed to support reflection, strengthen connection, and open pathways for renewed engagement in education, work, and community life.

Our Approach
Our work is trauma-informed and healing-centered, grounded in the understanding that storytelling is a relational and sustained practice.
Participants engage in structured spaces where trust is built over time—supporting reflection on lived experience, strengthening identity, and reconnecting to community, education, and work pathways.
We partner with institutions already embedded in communities, strengthening the spaces where people are already learning, navigating systems, and rebuilding their lives.
ConTextos is a recipient of the 2019 US Library of Congress International Innovation Award, recognizing this work as a model for community-based practice.
